Towards a New Era of Pediatric Care for Children and Families

Good Clinical and Social Practices

Contemporary pediatrics is facing profound transformations that involve not only the clinical aspects of care, but also the relational, social, and educational dimensions that accompany the growth of children and adolescents.
In this context, the theme “Renewal, Relationship, and Awakening” is intended to represent a path of reflection and professional development aimed at healthcare providers working in child and adolescent health.

Renewal highlights the need to update knowledge, tools, and organizational models in light of new scientific evidence, technological innovations, and the epidemiological changes that characterize pediatric age.
Relationship remains at the heart of pediatric practice: the trust-based bond between pediatrician, child, and family constitutes a fundamental space for care, listening, and support. At a time when new psychological, social, and cultural vulnerabilities are emerging, it becomes essential to strengthen communication, empathy, and interdisciplinary skills.

Awakening ultimately represents a dimension of shared awareness and responsibility: an invitation to the scientific and professional community to renew their commitment to health promotion, early prevention, and the protection of the child’s overall well-being.

Through scientific sessions, opportunities for discussion, and multidisciplinary contributions, the congress aims to foster dialogue among pediatricians, specialists, psychologists, educators, and other professionals involved in developmental care, with the goal of building new perspectives for collaboration and advancement in the pediatrics of the future.

As every year, space will also be dedicated to psychosocial aspects, which will be addressed in the afternoon through a round table. This year’s chosen theme will be: “Educational poverty and the abundance of connections.”
If we are able to guide an inevitable and necessary change, it could become an opportunity for a better world.

These are the main topics that will be addressed at the upcoming SIMPe Campania congress:

  • Respiratory diseases
  • Skin diseases
  • Screening for the early detection of rare diseases
  • The relationship between hospital and community care, reaffirming the undeniable potential of interdisciplinarity
  • New technologies that support care and the monitoring of certain conditions, especially in chronic patients
  • Healthy and mindful nutrition
  • A healthy lifestyle aimed at social connection rather than isolation
